The failing Canada immigration system

By Edar 'Cinnikull' Aihil

A gutsy admission and attempt by Canadian mainstream media and a subject that is gladly no longer a taboo: this television documentary about “some disillusioned immigrants, and their struggle with poverty, rejection and shame.” Do watch:

A report from Stats Canada released last week is fodder for more of the lost hope n Canada’s immigration system. What is happening? Should it really take 10 years for anyone educated in any field to find a job? If it was in Congo, Somalia or Afghanistan I can excuse for a year or (maybe since the US raided Iraq). For peace’ sake are there any HR Manager reading these reports? And to think that in a place such as Alberta – where unemployment is de facto impossible, immigrants are still unemployed or underemployed —-Geee!

You can read the report at http://www.statcan.ca/Daily/English/070910/d070910a.htm
    enjoy!

I grew up in Toronto. I have worked and lived temporarily in the early 80s in Jamaica. When I saw the numbers and types of immigrants from Jamaica moving to Toronto, it was obvious what was going to happen. Baby Fathers, gun crime, drugs, muggings, violence, these are all no brainers. It is to late to turn the clock back. Once Toronto was safe city, one that Canadians could be proud of. Now it is a dive. Around the world, it is getting the reputation of being a violent place. I would guess that in ten years it will be regarded much like Kingston, Jamaica and for the same reasons. If you look around the world, any country that has allowed Jamaicans to emigrate has regreted the first one they allowed in.
